It's been three years?

It's hard to believe that I wrote that entry three years ago. A lot has happened in those years that I've had to focus on personal issues more than art but hopefully, I've reached a point where I can start working on my stuff again and get some of them posted. Stay tuned!

Don't give up on me

I haven't given up on my art, life has just gotten in the way. I work from home taking phone calls for a company called Sykes. Well the contract that I was working under was pulled by the client so I'm in the process of being retrained for another contract so that's taken up quite a bit of my time. That and I had surgery then changed my schedule...which really wasn't as good of an idea as I originally thought it would be as it left me time to take care of the pets, work then crash. This is going to be corrected once we go into production but I have about four more weeks of training so we'll get back to here in time.
In other news I removed DAZ3D, the laptop simply couldn't handle it any longer. I'm not giving up, just need to update the desktop so that it can be handled. So lots of life changes that will be sorted soon. *g*

Okay so I know my renders aren't that bad, but when I look at some of the stuff I've seen others do(Mostly Mavrosh) I can't help but wonder if I could do better. So I'm trying to start over and learn Daz from the ground up.
So I'm currently bumming around SickleYield's journals and well, and Mavrosh's as well. But for everyone who reads this, does anyone have any suggestions for a semi-n00b? If you notice in my favorites I have a tutorial folder so please feel free to poke me and point me in the direction of something that can help.
I want to be able to create my own characters based off of the characters I've written for years. I want to be able to give a different writer a chance to see my characters the way that I do. I want them to see the beauty and the flaws. I think that's why I enjoy Mavrosh's creations so.
But of course with creating characters I have to create their skin because I simply can't find what I want. And then there are the clothes, its hard to find the clothes and I'm poor. All my money goes towards day to day living so being able to create my own clothing items, hair etc would be GREAT.
Then there's learning all the ins and outs of Daz and using it to the best that it can be used to. I have a feeling a 64 bit computer will help with that but I can't do anything about that unless I can upgrade the computer I have.

So the graphics shall be slowing down a bit as I've started a part time job that has training that is full time at the moment and will be for about four weeks. But don't give up on me! I have stuff built up that I can work on and thanks to

What's in store for 2013

So this last month or two for 2012 has been busy with getting the book covers for the Bardic Web bardicweb.com books done. As well as a few ideas out of my head which have been great to do. I have two in the works that will probably come out in 2013 but are currently waiting for some post work, and I have three more in my head that follow along as a cause. I'd like to start a cause series that covers things like Breast Cancer Awareness and others that I believe in.
I was also thinking of doing a myth series covering some of the lesser known fae like the Rusalka, Kelpie etc. Of course amongst all of this is the fact that there are more books coming out from Bardic Web. Which is great because it might include two of the stories that I was story master of...Yay! Which means I need to get Shady created in DS. I can do this...I just need to find a DS for Dummies, lol.
I also downloaded the freebie of Terragen to see what I can do with that. So hopefully the new year will be a great one for the graphics!
